Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website and the systems we build, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as an engineering requirement on our projects, not a finishing touch.

1. Standard We Work To

• WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the baseline for this website and for the user interfaces we deliver to clients.
• Section 508 and EN 301 549 requirements are met through conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Where a client's own standard is stricter, we work to the stricter standard and say so in the statement of work.

2. How This Site Is Built

• Semantic HTML with a logical heading order on every page
• Full keyboard operability, a visible focus indicator, and a skip-to-content link
• Text contrast verified against WCAG thresholds — including text over images and gradients
• Colour is never the only means of conveying information
• Motion respects the operating system's "reduce motion" setting; no auto-playing media
• Images carry meaningful alternative text, or are marked decorative when they carry no meaning
• Interactive controls meet minimum target size and have accessible names
• The site remains usable at 200% zoom and with text-only reflow at 320 CSS pixels

3. Automated Accessibility Checks in Our Delivery Process

Accessibility audits run as part of the build, not after it. We run automated audits on every page of a delivery before handover, fix what they find, and record the results in the handover pack. For AI-generated interfaces we pay particular attention to status announcements, error messaging, and the review queues where operators work for hours at a time.

4. Known Limitations

• Third-party components embedded in a client system may not meet the same standard; we document any such exception and its impact.
• Automated testing cannot detect every barrier. Where a client's users rely on assistive technology, we recommend testing with those users before launch.
• Some data visualisations are inherently chart-based; we provide equivalent tabular data alongside them.

6. Reporting a Barrier

Tell us the page or system, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you used. We acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and aim to resolve or provide an alternative within ten business days. Where a fix will take longer, we will say so, give you a workaround in the meantime, and keep you updated.

7. Accessibility Documentation for Clients

On request we provide a completed Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR/VPAT) for a delivered system, covering the WCAG 2.2 AA criteria, the methods used to test, and any documented exceptions.
